The public is invited to attend a special presentation, Invasive Plants in our Community on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 6:30pm in the Town Hall Council Chambers. The meeting, hosted by the Middletown Conservation Commission, will feature a talk by an expert on invasive plants from URI’s Cooperative Extension. Invasive plants such as bittersweet, multiflora rose, and knotweed crowd out native species, spoil scenic views, damage landscaping, and can even harm structures such as walls and pavement. Come learn about the challenges they pose and explore ideas for managing these invasive species in our community.
